Bandhu launched a project in February 2022 titled “Building Access to Justice and Legal Support for Gender Diverse Population of Bangladesh” that is funded by UNDEF. The project will be focusing on awareness raising, policy advocacy, capacity building, knowledge management & ensuring legal support for upholding human rights and addressing the socio-legal barriers including Gender Based Violence (GBV) of the Transgender/Hijra population. As a part of the UNDEF Project activity, Bandhu has developed e-materials and shared social media to increase knowledge and create awareness on particular issues i.e., GBV, Human rights, Access to Justice, Digital security, and COVID awareness amongst targeted TG & Hijra and the mass population.

ট্রান্সজেন্ডার ও হিজড়া জনগৌষ্ঠীর ন্যায় বিচারের অধিকার নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে গত ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২২ থেকে The United Nations Democracy Fund এর আর্থিক সহায়তায় “Building Access to Justice and Legal Support for the Gender Diverse Population of Bangladesh” শিরোনামে বন্ধু সোশ্যাল ওয়েলফেয়ার সোসাইটি (বন্ধু) দু্‌ই বছর মেয়াদী একটি প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন করছে। তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় বন্ধু ট্রান্সজেন্ডার ও হিজড়া জনগোষ্ঠীর প্রতি লিঙ্গ ভিত্তিক সহিংসতা, মানবাধিকার, ন্যায় বিচারে প্রবেশাধিকার, ডিজিটাল সিকিউরিটি এবং কোভিড সংক্রান্ত সচেতনতার উপর ভিত্তি করে একটি ই-ম্যাটেরিয়াল প্রস্তুত করেছে। উক্ত ই-ম্যাটেরিয়ালটি সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে প্রচারের ফলে ট্রান্সজেন্ডার ও হিজড়া জনগোষ্ঠীর প্রতি ইতিবাচক মনোভাব ও জনসচেতনতা তৈরির কাজে সহায়তা করবে।
