Student Fellowship and Orientation
Bandhu Social Welfare Society organized an orientation session on Student Fellowship at Department of Sociology, University of Dhaka on 09 December, 2018. Bandhu wants to create a bridge between students of different public and private universities and Gender Diverse Population for mainstreaming the education for the stigmatized group. Therefore, Bandhu initiated students fellowship and offers different departments of public and private universities in Bangladesh. This year Bandhu offered this fellowship to Law department, North South University and Sociology Department under Dhaka University. A total of 250 students enrolled the orientation program from two universities.
Dr. A. S. M. Amanullah, Professor, Department of Sociology; Dr. Gobinda Chandra, Professor, Department of Political Sciences; Shabnam Azim, Associate Professor, Department of Mass Communication & Journalism attended the event of Sociology department.
Besides, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, Dr. Abu Noman Mohammad Atahar Ali Chairperson, Department of Law; Dr. Katherine Li, Director, Office of External Affairs, North South Universities attended the orientation session. After fruitful orientation, 15 students finally accomplished the fellowship program and produced brief monograph I line with Bandhu’s guidelines.
